Welcome to the website of the RASimAs project

The RASimAs project (Regional Anaesthesia Simulator and Assistant) is a European research project funded by the European Union's 7th Framework Program. It aims at providing a simulator to train physicians in performing regional anaesthesia and an assistant to help anaesthesiologists during the procedure.

Regional Anaesthesia Assistant - RAAs

RASim A hardware architecture and software is developed for the RAAs in which the strategy is to build a single rack system containing an ultrasound scanner and a computer. Regarding the software, images and tracking data are streamed from the ultrasound scanner to the computer and structures like artery, fascia and nerve are detected in real-time.
